APPF28 Tour day – delegates will have the opportunity to relax and network with colleagues, while experiencing the Canberra region.

Attire: Casual dress (sun protection, hats and walking shoes recommended for all options)

Canberra region tour options

On arrival in Canberra, please confirm your tour option with your Delegation Liaison Officer, as some tours have limited numbers.
Tour option 1 - 8:15am departure from hotels
Bus tour - Canberra sightseeing tour including kangaroo spotting, Parliamentary Triangle, National Capital Exhibition and Mt Ainslie lookout
Tour option 2 – 8:30am departure from hotels
Ranger guided nature and wildlife tour at Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve (outdoor tour)
Tour option 3 – 9:30am departure from hotels
Australian War Memorial guided tour (indoor tour)
Tour option 4 – 9:30am departure from hotels

Sightseeing cruise on Lake Burley Griffin (enclosed boat tour)
12:00 – 13:00
All groups will meet at Gold Creek Station for an ‘Aussie BBQ Lunch’ and afternoon entertainment
Activities on offer include:

  • Sheep dog demonstrations
  • Sheep shearing demonstrations
  • Boomerang throwing
  • Local wine tasting
    Attire: Casual dress (hats and walking shoes recommended)
